Phil Kornbluth has over 30 years of Helium Business experience including:

  • P&L responsibility for BOC Gases’ $300M/year Global Helium Business for ˜10 Years
  • P&L responsibility for Taiyo Nippon Sanso’s $100M/year Global Helium Business for 6 Years
  • Presented on helium-related topics at industry conferences in Miami, Johannesburg, London, Singapore & New Jersey
  • Quadrupled the size of BOC’S Global Helium Business during my tenure
  • Expanded BOC’S captive helium production capacity from 280 MMscf/yr to 1.2 Bcf/yr
  • Developed BOC supply agreements with ExxonMobil, Encana, the Polish Oil & Gas Company, Rasgas, Gazprom & ConocoPhillips
  • Negotiated agreements with major customers including Philips Medical, Picker, Diasonics (now Toshiba) & Oxford Superconducting Technology
  • Expanded BOC’s helium distribution to industry leading 48 transfills
  • Participated in numerous price reopener negotiations on both the buy and sell sides
  • Formed JV between Matheson & Air Products to build 200 MMscf helium plant in Big Piney, Wyoming, USA
  • Secured wholesale customers in China, India, the UAE, Brazil, Israel & Finland
  • Played a significant role in shaping the content of both the Helium Privatization Act of 1996 & the Helium Stewardship Act of 2013
